I finally achieved flow today at work, for the first time since returning from my vacation. Once I’m in this state, my productivity jumps by an order of magnitude. I am immersed in my work and want nothing more than continued progress. I wish I could turn it on at will. Until then, I’ll resort to my usual bag of tricks: go to work late when no one else is there, turn off the lights and crank some good music. Well, I am not the lone soul in the office. I have frequent chats with the obedient coffee robot.
